# How to cancel your SecureMailMerge subscription

> Learn how to cancel your SecureMailMerge subscription, stop automatic renewals, and understand what happens after cancellation.

**You can cancel your subscription at any time.** Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid term, and your licenses remain active until then. ## Purchased on our website (card or PayPal)

1. Log in to [the licensing server](https://licensing.solinventum.com/app/) with the account that owns the subscription.
2. Open the subscription and choose **"Cancel Subscription"** from its action menu.
3. Follow the confirmation and check the subscription's end date.

Delegated license management or invoice access does not grant permission to cancel. If you do not see the cancellation action, check that you are signed in as the subscription owner. Contact support if you have lost access to that account.

## Purchased through Microsoft AppSource

If you bought SecureMailMerge through the AppSource SaaS offer and it bills through your Microsoft 365 subscription, cancel it in the [Microsoft 365 admin center](https://admin.microsoft.com) under **"Billing" > "Your products"**. Sign in with an account that has permission to manage your organization's subscription. License assignment permissions on the licensing server do not grant Microsoft billing access.

## Removing a user instead of cancelling

If only one person no longer needs a license, [remove or reassign that license](https://www.securemailmerge.com/help/assigning-team-licenses/) rather than cancelling the whole subscription. Removing an assignment does not stop billing for that license. To reduce the number you pay for, change the subscription quantity through the service you bought from.
