How do I transfer my license to a different email address?
Learn how to reassign a SecureMailMerge license to a different user or transfer subscription ownership.

You can reassign licenses freely between users in your organization. However, transferring subscription ownership requires a different approach.
Reassigning a license to a different user
If you need to move a license from one user to another (for example, when an employee leaves):
- Log in to licensing.solinventum.com with the account that owns the subscription
- Find the license you want to reassign
- Remove the current user’s email address
- Add the new user’s email address
- The new user will receive a welcome email with installation instructions
The new user will need to install the add-in on their own account, as add-ins in Microsoft 365 are tied to individual user accounts.

Granting others access to manage licenses
If you want someone else to be able to assign licenses without giving them full subscription control:
- Log in to the licensing server
- Go to your subscription settings
- Add a delegated administrator with license assignment permissions
This is useful when IT administrators need to manage licenses but the subscription is owned by a finance or procurement account.
Transferring subscription ownership
The subscription owner (the account that made the original purchase) cannot be changed directly. If you need to transfer ownership to a different account:
- Cancel the current subscription at licensing.solinventum.com
- Wait for the current billing period to end (your licenses remain active until then)
- Have the new owner purchase a fresh subscription at securemailmerge.com/purchase
Make sure the new owner is logged out of your old account before purchasing, so the new subscription is created under their account.
